Some Information On EPC
The Energy Performance Certificate is valid for 10 years. If in that period the property has been updated such as building extensions, conservatory or its heating system, it’s recommended to renew The EPC for the purposes of marketing or letting etc…
Most EPCs include a list of Recommendations. This list of measures will show where and what improves the energy performance of your property. The performance ratings after improvements are cumulative; that is, they assume the improvements have been installed in the order that they appear in the table.
Much like the multi-coloured sticker on new appliances, the EPC will guide you to how energy efficient the property is and it will give it a rating from A (very efficient) to G (inefficient).The EPC show the buyer or tenant how costly it will be to heat and light. It will also show what its carbon dioxide emissions are likely to be.
